Kostis Kornaros
The name on the guide, and what stands behind it.

A disclosed pen name
Kostis Kornaros is a pen name. It borrows from Crete’s literary tradition—Vitsentzos Kornaros wrote the Erotokritos, the island’s long poem of patience and judgment—and it is disclosed here so the borrowing stays honest. The name is invented; the claims are not.
Behind the name
The writing draws on family roots in Crete and on years of travel around the island and the world, which is how an island earns its proportions. What appears here is compiled from that time, from the public record, and from sources named on the page.
How the guide is written
Places are verified before they are written. Hours and prices are checked against official sources and dated, and where something has not been checked, the page says so. Nothing is included for payment. The full standard is published in the independence & ethics charter and the editorial manifesto.
