This guide operates under principles that are not negotiable. They exist to protect the integrity of what we recommend, the trust of those who read us, and the places we choose to include.
No paid inclusion
No establishment can pay to be listed. No sponsorship or commercial arrangement influences what appears in this guide. If something is here, it is because we believe it belongs. Commercial links, when present, are disclosed and follow editorial judgment; they do not create it.
No ratings
We do not assign scores, stars, or rankings. Reduction to number misrepresents experience. A place is either worth your attention or it is not included.
Selection based on evidence
Firsthand recommendations require a documented visit. Public places and practical guides may also be included through research grounded in official and primary sources. In both cases, the basis for a claim must be clear enough to check and strong enough to support the judgment.
Removal without explanation
Places may be removed from the guide at any time. We do not publish reasons for removal, nor do we notify establishments. This is not a directory. Inclusion is a privilege, not an entitlement.
Slow updates by design
This guide updates slowly. We do not chase trends, respond to openings, or rush to document what has not yet proven itself. Patience is not a limitation—it is the method.
These principles are not subject to discussion. They are the foundation upon which this work is built, and they will remain in place for as long as this guide exists.
